Well, it looks like the one Dem that Murikkka could hide behind got the smackdown from his home state party. I am not one bit sad. Joe needs to go. In fact, I happen to think he will disgrace himself by being a sore loser and running as an indie. Stupid. I don't know enough about CT politics to know whether or not he is gonna win, but I must say, I hope he doesn't, and I hope Lamont gets his seat.

What I have never been able to reconcile is the fact that the same people who trashed him as a VP candidate in 2000 ended up being such good buddies with him in 2006. To listen to the hysterics of the Karl Roves, Rush Limbaughs and Sean Hannitys of the world, you would think that had Bush lost in 2000, Gore and Joe would have had Osama Bin Laden over to the White House for tea so things could be settled nicely! We are all supposed to feel grateful that Joe was nowhere near the White House on 9/11, yet to hear things today, Joe Lieberman is a real fighter in the War On Terr'err. A real mensch on national security. They all seem very sad to see him go now, but they also thank their Diety he lost in 2000. I guess I will never understand the Bush Water-Boy Mindset, and I am glad of it.
