Everyone Should Be Peripherally Famous For 2 Seconds

Finally, it ran! The Dateline piece that used shots from my Brooklyn Storefront Houses Of Worship site went to air last night and I was lucky enough to tape it (I wanna show my mama that I got on TV and I wanna put a screenshot on her refrigerator.)

The piece was interesting. I knew nothing of Carlton Pearson before and he seems interesting enough. They used some of the shots I also see getting used by the half a dozen people who've noticed it and liked it enough to repost a shot (the cartoon one is always a big hit), but not all. I would have to say that the 4 shots they used were up 5 seconds or less, but then again, the piece wasn't about me. Not yet anyway.

In all my excitement, I am not sure if Stone Phillips did the intro or not, but the piece was done by that creepy guy who does the dramatic reading with the up-down sing-songly delivery. It could have been worse as I could well have been a part of a John Stossel piece over an ABC. Phew!

No link to my shots was made, but there really ain't anywhere to put one on a TV show. Sigh. I will just have to take pleasure in the fact that my first efforts at digital photography, using a refurbished camera from eBay that my man Ryanboy gave me (thanks again Ryanboy) were more successful at getting noticed in a good way than anything else I have done with the summation of my life to date.

And with a blink of an eye, my fame has passed. Back to shots of streetsigns with names that have vaguely sexual double meanings. A man can't live on food and shelter alone you know...
