I am having quite a busy week. I intend on getting to the Oklahoma Roundup and my Portland Voyage as soon as I can, but time has just been too tight.
In the meantime, here is a little sneak peak of what roadside Oklahoma gave to me on the ride between Enid and Tulsa. Rather than take the turnpike, I decided to keep it small-town and trackside by rollin' down US 64 the whole way. Outside of Perry, OK, I stumbled upon one of those spots one finds on the byways in Outback USA. I have no idea what the story is, but apparently, the Sudetenland has carried its history of woe to northern Oklahoma. When SPF 90 and SPF 95 have accusations of racism between them, there is certain to be loads of anthropological value to be gained from deep study; but there are planes to catch, and bills to pay, so I couldn't hang around any longer than it took to grab a few shots from the roadside, which I share with you now after the jump.
Perhaps if my sis stays around there long enough, I can get to the bottom of the story. Maybe I can even offer to mediate. After all, I am a unifier; a uniter of peoples.
