The kid and I are leaving the Chisolm Trail and are headed back toward the mighty Pacific Ocean. We have survived several Oklahoma thunderstorms, Oklahoma sushi, and a Jefferson Davis re-enactor - among other things - but we have no complaints. To the contrary, we've had a heckuva good time here in Enid.
Indeed, it is a little hot, but we learned to love that slow, southern way of whiling away the day by sittin' out on the stoop with the cousin dogs, and takin' in the sun. I think Boomie is a convert - though he was scared shitless by the first thunderstorm (I am guessing it is his first ever, certainly his biggest.)
We will be back in Oaktown with plenty of daylight left for a walk out at Pt. Isabel, so we are truly packing it all in. Details later...
