Happy Holidays y'all! Looks like a little excitement is going to visit the kid & I to wind up the new year. Specifically, we are gonna head to Chicago to pick up a spare car floating around the family and drive it back to SF. Normally, I would consider a cross-country drive to be an event which generates maximum excitement, but in order to pull it off, this trip is mostly going to be a dash across the tundra. No real time for sight-seeing and not much daylight to do it in anyway.
Since Boomie growled and showed teeth to Santa Claus, he wasn't on the list for much in the way of gifts to begin with. Even so, once he gets the first blast of Midwest & Mountain cold, I think he will wish he had not been so naughty and had received a deluxe pair of booties and a nice new sweater. He thinks NorCal weather is chilly - wait til he gets a little taste of REAL tundra! I bought him a new fleece and a pair of elf ears, but he hates wearing them. His grandma tells me she did buy him a Pet Snuggie, so perhaps that will be enough. Only time will tell.
In any event, we have a new Flip camera, and in addition to whatever photos we can put together, I will try to capture some video worthy of worldwide distribution. There is a chance that Grandpa will be joining us on the ride, so there will be much frivolity to share.
If I don't get back to you before then, Happy Christmas to ya's. We will check in from the road sometime soon!
