Hey y'all - meet Davika. She is a doggie we are fostering in hopes of making a permanent addition to the fam. I am not sure Boom Boom will ever forgive me since he seems to like life as an only(canine)child, but for loads of reasons, getting my little buddy his own little buddy makes sense.

Davika is a survivor of some rough breaks in life, but she is not one drop less sweet for it. She seems to favor the ladies to the doods, but I have been getting many happy wiggles of the tail end, so I think we are doing pretty well. She stayed with us last night, right on the bed, in the heated pet nest that the cats usually occupy.

Booms is protesting a little bit about getting to ride in the dad's lap in the car, and who gets to be on the bed first, but he is mostly being excellent. As I told Davika's foster mom, this has to work for Boom Boom or else we will need to try again, but Boomie deserves some credit because he is quite resilient about these things and is much more easy-going than I let on some times.

This is just a first overnight visit and chemistry check. Whether we move to full-time foster is tbd, but so far, so good.
