Ho hum...everyone waiting for Oakland to devolve into crazed violence.

Nothin'.

There are plenty of kids from Berkeley with nothing better to do downtown, but out of the camera's glare, it is quiet as a mouse - like it usually is.

If it gets ugly, that will be sad. I will be willing to bet it won't be a spontaneous outbreak in residential Oakland, and I bet it will stop when the reporters go home.

Sigh. If you want 1992 LA pt. II - or worse, 1968 all over again - it must seem a big disappointment so far.
