Greetings from the Great Sauna that is Dixie August.
I and my nephew are in Huntsville for NASA Family Space Camp. I think we will be building a real rocket tis weekend. That is exciting. Nephew Quinn went to camp here last summer and liked it, so I told him (with good behavior and grades) the old Unk With Tha Funk would see to it we could go together this summer. He kept up his end of the bargain, and I am now keeping up mine.
We flew into Nashville this afternoon, and within an hour, we had eaten 2 pulled pork sandwiches (Swett's and Corky's.) I am putting on weight like a banshee in the last few weeks being around the boys, and the vegetarianism was never going to survive a venture below the Mason-Dixon line (Krystal, Steak-n-Shake, Chick-Fil-A, Waffle House - fuggedaboutit!) It is what it is. I will be double-plus good when I get home.
We are gonna go home early next week after a night near Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls and Chattanooga (I dislike Confederate Cracker culture, but I love the South - there is a difference you know...I would rather live in Knoxville TN than Simi Valley California ANY day.)
In any event, good times. I miss the doggies, and this is the longest we have been apart, but they don't allow Chihuahua's at Space Camp (though I could see Boom Boom as a 21st Century Laika - and I myself would love trying to feed him treats in a zero gravity environment.) We will all have to manage.
I have no idea how fertile the phototaking will be at camp or on the road. If it proves rich pickings, I will not be shy about sharing. At y'all's later.
